SETTING

SETTING
Your character wakes up in what looks to be a colosseum. Upon their awakening, two holograms present themselves to be played.

The first is an unknown non-human. He says, "Welcome to Commorragh, slave. You do our bidding and be assured, you will arrive back to your home in due time. We seek to use your power, skill, and intelligence to defeat our cruel overlord, Asdrubael Vect. While we formulate our final plan, you will do as we wish. There is nothing more you could want in life other than to serve us. Try to leave and the guards will see you dead."

The second is also an unknown non-human but he introduces himself. "I am Asdrubael Vect. Those fools who have brought you here think that I am unaware of their plans. Allow me to fill you in on a few things. First, they cannot send you home. Your home is here as you were created here. Second, I have already released the restrictions on your powers and abilities, if you have them, so make use of it wisely. Third, I have taken leave to have items you think belong to you duplicated. You will find them soon enough. And remember, do try to not make this too easy for your captors."

A quick look around will show that there is two exits from this area. One leads to a living area that is spartan, cold, and entirely uncomfortable. Other beings exist in here if you dare approach them but they may not be all that friendly. At the foot of every hard bed is a plastic box with names on them. Find yours and you'll find your items. At the very end of the spartan room is where food and water is deposited for those who want to eat it.

At the other exit stand two guards. They are supposed to kill you but when you walk by, they turn their heads the other way. What goes on past here is a section of the city that seems rough. Those wandering the walkways that span up and up either look like they may either kill you or bow to your feet in fear. It's still dank and cold, despite the fact that you can spot at least three separate suns crossing the skies.

From here, the sky is the limit. Characters can explore, destroy, take over, or do what they wish. But they must be wary of other things that may cross their path. Or other allies. Every so often, the owners will recall everyone, forcing them to reappear at the colosseum. From there, they will be forced into various activities, ranging from fighting wars to taking part in experiments.

But, in the end, it's easy to tell that these people have a certain enjoyment when it comes to backstabbing. Perhaps you can join in on the festivities.
